Part of the reason it is time to get moving again is to go out and enjoy all the awesomeness nearby. For our first Fitbit walk, we went down to Huskisson and parked next to the kids playground there, and walked over to Vincentia, then back again.
There are some great footpaths around the bay and basin which we want to explore over the next few months. This was an 8km walk. All the tourists were in town so it was a little busy and we couldn’t park where we wanted. But no matter – we got out and we enjoyed our walk.
This photo looks across Moona Moona creek. The tide was out, as you can see.
This photo was taken near Vincentia and is overlooking Collingwood Beach. We did not walk on the beach this time – maybe another day. The footpath is beautiful and takes you past many amazing houses.

You walked past a lot of lovely scenery, I’m glad you took your camera along.
I took nothing with me except a bottle of water – The Other Half did take his phone, so he took these pics. At that time I did not have any pockets or any way of taking my phone – now I have a phone arm band holder but it is hard to get the phone in and out. I think I will take the Lumix along because I have a wrist band from the Wii that I use with it, and it is less annoying to carry. :)
That is beautiful scenery and would make walking much more entertaining.
The beach can sometimes be quite distracting, more what people are doing on the beach. This past weekend we saw some real craizy happenings! ;)
Eight kilometres is a decent walk. I would be pretty tired and footsore after that. Well done.
Most of it is flat but there is an uphill bit on the way back to Huskisson. We did it again this weekend only half the distance, because there is a cold happening in our household. :)
That looks like a truly delightful walk. And water views make everything better.
Eight kilometres would do me in I think, but I am glad that you did it – and enjoyed it.
What a beautiful and inspiring place to live.
These are some great scenes for a walk. I always enjoy the beach, no matter where it is.
What an inspiring place to walk. It must make the time pass quickly to be surrounded by so much beauty. Thanks for sharing your wonderful outdoor post on this week’s Maple Hill Hop!
Looks like a lovely place to have a walk. I’m just dreaming of having a walk in the sunshine along a beach as it has just started snowing in the UK!
Ness, I saw that on the Daily Mail – I go there to keep up with the Royals. :) Looked pretty cold! This day it was 34C or so..
