It’s been a busy week of moving for me this week, and also a busy week here on the blog. The wrap up is smaller this week due to me not being able to read many blog posts – I will have a larger wrap up next week which may include some of the posts I missed reading this week.
Funny Search Terms This Week –
wierd sex insertions snakes – Oh dear..
makes 5 million a year from mail order – Not possible, I’m afraid, has to be a scam. :)
how to rob a bank nigerian man who collect 5 million dollars – If you want to know how to rob a bank, watch Point Break. It should teach you that you can die doing it, so it’s a stupid idea!
Here On The Blog –
This week, we had Pearl from Interesting Observations drop by with a question. Thanks, Pearl!
I spoke about Spam, Spiders and Dofollow in the Tuesday Think Tank. This week’s Hump Day Hmm was about Values. I gave some Cereal Confessions, posted an Update that Came as a Surprise and also put up A Photo of Myself.
Past Snoskred –
Travel back in time and read my thoughts about some of the more sombre anniversaries this time of year – the passing of Steve Irwin and Peter Brock, and September 11th.
Coming Up –
We’ll have to wait and see – I have the thoughts of the day pre-blogged but other than that I’m out of pre-written material. :)
I clicked on the “photo of myself” link and found those fantastic plane photos. I remember when the first ever painted plane was due to come in to Adelaide airport sometime in the early/mid 1990’s. I worked at Clarks shoes at the time and used to get off the bus at the corner of Burbridge and Marion roads, then walk the rest of the way, often watching as the planes came in low for landing. So anyway, on the morning of the painted plane landing I arranged things so that I could be on Marion road earlier and take a photo of the plane. In my excitement I forgot to pick up the camera which was RIGHT NEXT TO my bag and almost cried as the plane flew in so close I felt I could reach up and touch it. Your photos are great. Is that Adelaide airport? Looks like West Beach.
Re-reading the comments from the 7th. and have to agree with your reply to Vera.I say simmilar things myself to customers now, for example if they’re are complining about the winter or the rain, I will say we need to experience the winter/rain to be able to appreciate the spring/rainbows. Or if they say they are feeling so low they’ve hit rock bottom, I tell them that’s a good thing because if you are at rock bottom the only way to go is up. Stuff like that is pretty much the way I live and I have many customers who return to my register even if there is a line up because they say I cheer them up.
River – we must have passed each other from time to time because my family has strong connections to Burbridge Road. ;)
That one is actually in Singapore but we have a lot of Adelaide plane spotting pics. ;)
I have my favourite check out person too, when he’s not there I pine for him.. he knows how to pack everything just so.. ;) and is always cheery and happy.
Thanks for the comments!
